Got my first 96 Lumina from a good friend...got if for below BB cuz it belonged to his Mom and he just wanted the car to have a good home...the car has just under 108K and with the exception of the stains and what not on the carpet the interior is clean and tidy...I need to locate a new master window switch and a couple of radio knobs but other then that the interior is clean...the exterior on the other hand has that typical mid 90's GM paint problem...the body is very straight but sever sun damage did in the clear coat...I will paint the car myself next yr after I recover from some other projects in the works.
Over all I am happy with the car and everything seems to be working good so far...I look forward to helping others as well as asking for advice myself now and then...I do auto electrical work as well as mechanical work on the side here and there...I use to work for GM about 15yrs ago when my car was new...I did electrical diagnosis and repair as well as a lot of warranty work in the shop...my recent work involved a complete new wiring harness in a '70 Camaro...my work is always done to boat standards meaning that all connections are soldered and shrink wrapped...corrosion is like cryptonite to Superman when it comes to wiring a car the right way.
I hope to meet many enthusiasts here.
