We have had such an growth of members the past year or so, I figured some of the newer members don't really know much about me, so here goes!
I have been involved in this community since early 2000, before it was even 60degreev6.com, but just a simple Yahoo group. At that time, I was just starting to modify a 1994 Beretta, which I had purchased used in 1995. If it wasn't for an engine fire almost 2 years ago, I would still be driving that car today. Anyway, as the site began to grow, I started helping out more and more, eventually taking over most of the software side of everything. I currently am co-owner (along with Ben, aka SappySE107), and try to keep the site running as smoothly as possible. But enough about that side of things... Who am I really?
After high school, I joined the US Navy as an electronics technician and nuclear reactor operator. I spent 6 years total in the Navy - 2 years of schooling and 4 years on board a fast attack submarine. When I finished my time, I decided to go to college. I went to Kansas State University, when I earned a bachelor's degree in Construction Management. I then got hired on at an Architectural/Engineering firm as an electrical designer, doing lighting and power design for retail, commercial, military and restaurant businesses. I just passed my 5 year anniversary at this company.
While in college, I met my wife, and we currently have 2 girls, ages 7 and 3, as well as 2 dogs (golden retriever and golden lab). After the Beretta fire, we went almost a year without a 60V6 powered vehicle, but last summer bought a 2003 Buick Rendezvous with the 3400. Then there is the Mustang project, which was an early Christmas present from my wife, which is in the slow process of getting a 60V6 powerplant as well. Let's just say, Ben and I have big plans for it.
Anyway, I guess that's it. Time to go back to working on the site...
