  • Cavi Dash Panel Help

I thought I'd drop by and ask for some help.

My younger sister just bought an 01' Cavi. The 4" plastic trim by the window was cracked bad. Well over 15 or more cracks in it, its crazy how its still stuck in there.

Well...The guy she got it from said he had a spare in the trunk he got at the GY to replace it. Took a look at the replacement one and said this was cake. Not so, the one in the trunk was all metal hold downs with one plastic tab in the center. The one in the cavi is screwed in.

Does anyone have a picture of that out of a car so I can get a good look at it? It looks screwed in from inside the dash. Am I seriously going to have to pull the entire dash out to fix it? Wow...

Edit: Like to add that it looks like the panel has a lip that goes up under the dash, unlike the replacement that just sits flush besides that one center tab.
Is that the Sunfire panel? Guessing so.

    Thanks, Kenneth.

On the Sunfire it is removable, on the Cavalier it is molded to the dash.
The Dash needs to be removed to replace/repair it.
