  • 3.4L DOHC form minnesota

Whats up everybody, I am the proud owner of a 96 Olds Cutlass supreme SL, 3.4 of course, Since I bought the car a year ago I have replaced the MAF, The IAC valve, the tranny, timing belt (not by choice) plugs, wires, exhaust, tires, brakes,.... Needlss to say I have a very apparent oil leak that is annoying the shit out of me, I am an auto tech by trade, however I have searched high and low to fix this elusive leak, any help would be appreciated...

Welcome to the site! Where is the oil leak at (general vicinity)? My guess would be the oil pump drive gear o-ring.

The leak is all over, When I did the timing belt I have the engine pressure washed, shortly there after I finshed the work the O-rings in the sensor above the top of my p-steering pump started leaking , next thing I know I am losing a quart of oil every week or so, I realize it burns a little, I got almost 200,000 miles.

My 95 DOHC leaked from the oil pump O-rings as well as the plate under the lower intake, All it basically does is cover the top of the motor and has a breather line coming out of it. Also FYI you can't pull the shaft out to do the O-rings with the head on it. I cheated and used a distributor gasket from a small block chevy and cut it so I could slip it around the shaft, tightened it down and I had a drip or two and that was it. Had the car for 2 years after that and it never came back.
