  • Couple Interior Pictures -91 Lumi with Red inside

they arent the best pictures in the world... i didnt want to set up my tripod and shit, im just too lazy. lol the red LEDs are on a switch under the headlight switch. and the red plastic is primered painted and cleared. its colour matched to the outside of the car, which has been painted a little brighter red than inside the doorjams. its hard to see but the parts match the outside, but when you open the door, the inside of the jam is lighter... but if i take the piece off the door and hold it on the roof or hood? (why do soooo many car parts have two os in a row?) its a perfect match! lol i like it, but the part in the middle around the shifter is going to get re done, thats why the guts arent under it to light it up and indicate my current gear.

Looks great. I am still thinking of painting all of the grey areas on the pieces shown to white. It should bring in just enough of the white from the exterior and brighten up some of the red.

It's all I can do right now till I get some extra dough comin' in.

Edit: Dang! Did I just jack your thread with my pic?

i was thinking of doing pretty much those same parts on my regal, but then i thought the window switches on the doors would look dumb cuz if you paint them, do you think the light will shine through? i never bought a junkyard set to try, but maybe with a light coat of white primer fist then the white spraypaint and clear?
what do you use to paint that crap with? i just used spray can paint primer and clear. (not in that order)

I wish I had pics of my '00 Blazer's interior. It was that funky blue metalic, don't know the exact name. It turned out great for a rattle can. I used Testors "safire blue". I layed down a coat of "Bully Dog" adhiesive promoter, then grey primer, then the paint, then clear. That's all I do for the "do it yourself" job. My Sonoma, the body shop did it and it was pretty dang sweet.

Just gotta show the interior of my Somoma (when I had it)

I also had a 10" Bazzoka behind in the extended cab part. I miss that truck.

I bought two Audiobahn 10" subs, but never got the fiberglass box made for the back of the cab. Still got the subs though. Heck, I've never hooked them up....they may not even be worh anything. They are pretty though with the nice chrome frame and aluminum center.

I almost put a full polished Powerdyne blower w/duct work on it too. Bought an '04 GTO instead and sold the truck. Truck was paid for....should've kept it.

My friend at the shop did the interior paint work. Cost me close to $600 to do the interior, Envoy bumper, handles, and a couple of pieces under the hood. All in all it was a good deal considering the time he had in all of it, especially the interior.

What else do you plan on painting?

im not 100% sure, some of the padding crap is peeling off of the frame or whatever in the back. so i think i have to fix that with some sort of glue or something first. but i want a completely custom interior. i would love for it to be all black and red like that from top to bottom. i also have to get my headliner re done already, so ill just get it in black. (or i guess learn how to do it myself... i dunno. the more i do myself the cheaper it is... the cheaper it is too though. lol
i want to swap the center console with one with cup holders, put some buckets from a GP, Regal or Cutty in the back, with red and black racing style seats in the front (not too deep though) and pretty much anything else i can make red or black, mostly black though. or i guess i could throw some dark grey or chrome or aluminum in there or something. does anyone know how a guy could make custom gauges? i would really like some cooler colours or something in there, maybe a Z34 logo and a Bowtie. i painted the bezzels in there, but im going to re do them the same red as the rest of the interior plastic i did.

I am thinking of going with the billet interior with the vert. Probably the brushed aluminum, don't know yet. I know of someone (if he's still in buisness) that can make what I need/want.

I don't recomend EVER going with the stick on carbon fiber/wood grain....yada, yada, yada. To me, the painted look is the way to go.

that stick on stuff is ok for some applications and can be made pretty slick if you use a heat gun on it. i tried it on some extra trim parts i had kicking around and they turned out ok, not great. but ok. all the flat surfaces looked great, but where things curved sharp, or dented in it didnt want to stretch into it. so there were a few wrinkley spots and stuff. but im sure with some practice (about 20 rolls of it later) you could have some pretty decent looking parts.
for fun i 'carbon fibered' a lighter. lol i did it about 2 weeks ago and its still looking like the day i did it. and two people have stolen the lighter from me too!! (yes i got it back)
