Hey guys! My name is Michael Dougherty and I used to be a member on this site along time ago. But I guess being non-active for so long my old user name was deleted. However anyway I just wanted to introduce myself again to a lot of the newer guys on the site here.
The car I used to be the most active with on the site here was my 1988 Chevy Celebrity Eurosport. It has been in my family since 1996 and started off with 69K. My dad drove the car till around 2002 and gave it too me as my first car with 194K. I really didn't know much about the car when I got it however I always loved the color and the rumble of the 2.8MPFI motor. My dad gave me the car just to get me by until I was ready to by myself my first car. So I drove that thing all though high school and even into college.
In around 2006 my Eurosport had around 240K and I knew I needed to get myself another car so I could spend the time to fix this car up. For awhile I was pretty much daily driving a project car. So I started looking and wound up getting a 2000 Buick Regal GSE. Well after getting that car I fell in love with it and pretty much the thought of fixing up my Eurosport went out the window. I focused all my time on the Regal and pretty much stopped driving the Eurosport. The Eurosport was parked for some time until I started driving it again during the winter months and when my regal was out of service.
Then in early 2009 I knew it was time for me to get myself another daily driver instead of depending on a 21 year old car with over 240K on it. So i picked myself up a 2004 Chevy Cavalier 5 speed and its great to get me around down and uses no gas.
So pretty much I have come back to the site here to see if anyone is interested in buying any rare parts I have collected for the A-body over the course of my ownership. I am also selling the car off which I know will be a hard day for me to see it go. Keep an eye out in the for-sale section for the parts I am selling. My Eurosport has been a great car for me and with 240K the motor just keeps on going with mostly all of its original parts still!
