I was informed of this forum from one of the guys on the J-body forum. Was told this may be the place to get the assistance I'm looking for. I am the proud owner of a 1985 Cadillac Cimarron, yes, it has the 2.0 liter 4-cylinder. I'm wanting to change all that and go with one of the V6 variants. I'm not sure what all will be needed and how hard of a swap as I'm new to the FWD platform other than a '92 Grand Prix SE with the GTP package and 3.4 Twin Dual Cam 24-valve V6. The only thing I ever did with the GP was hook the laptop to the ALDL and bumped power that way.
I know my little J-car has got potential and with it being one of "those" Cadillac's, it does make it to some degree a rare bird now.
Just a little information on myself. I am a retired custom car builder who specialized in street rods and such here in north Texas. I live in a small rural town about 60 miles NW of Fort Worth. I typically own the large RWD style of cars with my emphasis being on Oldsmobile, Buick and Cadillac. I have a special place in my heart and own not one but three hearses. I needed another car and this Cimarron came up for cheap, it runs, makes a good bomb around town type of car. However, after driving it, it has been decided that it will be moving into the "lets modify" and use as a show car class at home.
Look forward to learning and knowing more about these cars. Here's a link to my car - http://tinyurl.com/anx6l8
