  • My $2000 dollar buy

Hello, my name is Cody and I just joined this forum.

I recently brought a new car for me. I saw this car on the side of a occasionally used road and stopped to look at it. I was not interested in buying a car at that time but the car flipped a switch inside me and within a week, I brought it.

I now own a 1995 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme SL coupe.

My plans are to fix the intake gasket problems (It's not leaking but for peace of mind...), paint the raised letters to give it a sporty look and change the transmission fluid/filter and drive it!

Very nice ride! Low mileage too. Not bad at all for $2k. Welcome to the site!

VERY nice. I love the low mileage and how nice the leather interior looks. Personally I would just swap over 3400 heads and intakes and put a revised intake gasket on since you already plan on doing a intake gasket replacement.

That should give you an extra 15-20 ponies.

        Thanks!

I just want to leave her as a beautiful cruiser so HP doesn't really matter to me. I'm aware of doing the metal gaskets, I did the metal gasket swap to my 1999 Pontiac Bonneville then it blew up, oh well.

The car was owned by a old lady, Old lady FTW/!

looks good. Welcome to the madness.

Trust me, it is only a matter of time before the "more speed" big bites you. When it does, you look like you have a good solid foundation to start with.

Thank you all for the incredible comments.

I love it very much, enough to sell the Bonneville, pretty soon, I'll be doing the intake gaskets (replace with aluminum) for peace of mind and some tune-ups then stick a Magnaflow muffler on there and drive it!

OPEC, suck it! (it get great gas mileage)
