I know on the earlier dohcs you can use two front manifolds and a cross over but what are you guys doin for the 96+ engine?

I have a 97 Z34 engine in the garage. When I head home next I'll take another look, but I don't think it's possible to use a front manifold on the rear head of the 96-97 engines. I may try to make some short tubular turbo manifolds.

They definatly are FAR from symmetrical, so you cannot flip the front manifold for the rear, however thare are a few ways around this...

You can cut the flanges off the manifold and have them tig welded upside down on the manifold, You could also take a 3/8-1/2" thick piece of plate steel and cut the port holes into it, drill it to fit the block and drill and tap it with the upside down pattern on it, use a pair of gaskets and you are good to go. It will require some ingenuity, but in the end, you are still far better off with the headers. But you can get away with a few things. The port geometry on the 96-97 motors is too good to just stuff the manifolds onto. Headers are what this engine craves

There are flanges for all DOHC motors being sold on ebay. I have a set for the 96-97 motors sitting in my room.

If you use a front manifold for the rear on a 1994, what crossover should you use?

If your using two fronts on a 94 then you are gonna be making a crossover to your turbo or heavily modifying a stock one.
