i just picked one up at the salvage yard, want to know if its going to be good for my 3500. ive got a 70mm on there right now, and i fear its too big

Just wondering why you feel it's too big. Stock is 65 but you got headers, cam, etc. Not sure at what point that 65mm would be a bottle neck though. Are you feeling no increase from mid-throttle to WOT in power or something?sigpic New 2010 project (click image)

also im getting a huge hesitation when going from closed throttle to WOT. like the rpms dip to around 500 and then it revs a second later. if i mash it all the way, the engine will die. not fun for driving.
