Like I told somebody else last week, I had a girl demo my car because I broke up with her man beatin ass and I have since raised it from the grave, but I got smoked from some little subaru 1.6 Turbo... Not right I know, that originally led me to believe that there is something seriously wrong with my engine... the girl dumped some red substance into the tank, it looked like dex-cool but I can't be sure... the car lacked to start with. .. what ever it was kept pluggin up my feul filters until I changed the tank. (Talking 1 filter for every tank of gas). A buddy of mine (who has owned four Z34's, just like me, although more mechanically inclined) said that the throttle response should be like that of a motorcycle... INSTANT response, if you were to punch my gas peddle, like quick on hard and quick off the cold air intake makes a farting noise... Yeah tell me about it. :S This car is driving me up the wall.

Headers and Forced induction. Are you turboing it or Supercharging it? Trubo replaced the headers and makes more power generally then a S/C.

          I would recommend:
          - 2.25" Mandrel bent midpipe w/ Magnaflow Mufflers
          - 2.5" Carsound/Magnaflow Cat (Same thing)
          - Air Intake
          - Transmission Cooler (B&M Super cooler) ***HIGHLY RECOMMEND DOING THIS***
          - 8mm Magnacore wires
          - AC Delco Stock Plugs
          - 180* at the lowest
          - leave the A/C. PITA to do and not worth the time. Just leave it off has same result.
          - Custom Turbo kit (~$3500-4500 intercooled)

HP Turner (Power Tuner) is a computer program that allows you to tune for larger injectors, forced induction, ect.. But you must have OBD II Or C100 in your car to use the Tuner.

You can drive it to my house and dump it. I will give it a good home.

Forget performance. If you have problems with it. get it running good 1st. If you havnt allready run some BG 44K Fuel injector cleaner with your next tank. If you had Shyt in the gas tank the plugged the filter your injectors are prob. gummed up. BG 44K is the best stuff on the market. and also clean the T/B and do a tune up if you havnt allready done so. if the plugs havnt been changed. It may have been neglected for a long time.

The LQ1 is not a engine for the faint of heart or a empty wallet.

I agree with FIRST...... Get your vehicle running great!!!!

                    THEN mod it.

Here we ALWAYS first change, fix and do all that needs to be done so your starting off with a good running, hopefully solid car.

I agree also to use the factory AC plugs BUT DON'T USE THE BOSCH PLATINUM.

GM sent us and MANY places a letter about not using them. GM's ignition systems in most of there vehicles have higher milliJoule spark systems that end up over heating the ceramic covering the plantinum tip and burning it up into the ceramic causing bad running, stalling and miss-fires. It won't happen immediately but it doesn't take many miles.

Don't waste your money on the MSD ignition and coils. Stock ignition on the GM's are strong. just a good set of plugs and wires work fine. Im running Plane jane delco plugs and 8mm Magnacor (Whatever) wires with my turbo setup.

"Custom Forced Air Induction" im guessing your refering to a air intake? Forced air generaly implys turbo or S/C.....

Pretty much custom, I made it all myself, its in the area where the air dam forces all the air in.

When I get that tranny filter I'm going to need to know how much fluid to buy and how do I flush the tranny??? Just run fluid through it? Is the gasket reuseable??

OK, air intake is painted, and I have the a/c delete. Also have the fel pro intake gaskets, upper and lower, and a new oil distribution cover gasket and the oil pump drive gasket Swift buy the gaskets were only 44.50
