was thinking since the question comes up a lot, can we make a sticky with all the degrees for the timing mod. i know the times are diff depending if the car is stick or auto and 96+ or prior years.
i know the basic is 6/6 but heard that is for stick on the older motors
i just saw in another post that just retarding the exhaust 12 will give better high rpm and the 6/6 gives better low... has anyone tried a 6/12? i dont know the stock opening and closing degrees so its hard for me to visulize what would be better or worse as for valve overlap.
but basicly i would like to know whats best for a 96 auto... i have a computer tuner so even if it throws off spark timing i can readjust that. so now its just fining whats physically best to get the most out of the motor. i would like to extend the power/tq down to about 2500 rpm and retain as much tope end as possible.
