On the Starter solenoid, how many wires are actually connected to the large terminal?

Battery. But gm has throw others on there to be cheap on wire. Instead of running across the engine to the battery they run to the starter first. MY 94' may be different but there was the alternator and another one to a fuse block on the passenger side.

I ditched all those and ran the alternator, starter and that fuse box individualy to the battery.
