Quick question to anyone reading that might be able to give assitance I replaced the timing belt on 93 lumina started up fine drove a couple of miles parked back in garage cleaned up tools and went to start up car to no avail, then it did start and rev'vd to about 3k and slowly came back down but seems to run with a mis, seems to be acting like it jumped time or something would that be possible, could the tensioner have backed off some to cause a problem like this, is it possible to have one of the cams out of time and it still run? the belt seemed to be tight and like I said it started right up after the change, is there a way to check without complete teardown ....need help with this one

Ok for anyone that read this post earliar car seems to be running fine now drove it out on the road for about 20 miles or so,my thinking is that maybe timing belt might have changed timing enough for the computer to have to relearn .like I said running great still sputters when starting after it gets hot thinking that might work out too.............whew I sure did'nt want to tear down again this soon ..........

What is the cranking compression of all six cylinders (or at least one cylinder from the front bank, and one from the rear bank.)

If the compression on front or rear bank is too low...maybe the cams are out-of-time.
