  • Question : 91 z34 wont start fuel to rail and spark

    i have a 91 z34 lumina trying to get running. was running and fuel pump would cut out while driving and die and would start back up and die after while again while driving replaced fuel filter which was shot fuel pump plugs and wires and fuel pressure regulator and now fuel pump relay wont kick on wire that activates it aint getting power and also fuel injectors all click when 12v applied but nothing when hooked up and good pressure to rail when i activate relay and no obd codes when apply jumper no check engine light when cranking and runs off starter fluid. thanks for the help post all suggestion you have

    OK, so you replaced plugs, wires, FPR, Pump and Pump relay.... Now the pump will not prime when you turn the key to ACC and will not run when starting. Then when you jump the relay to power the pump it works. Is that correct? have you tried a different relay (could be defective or wrong relay). Have you removed the fuses and checked them all physically? and it sounds like you have tested the power to the relay and power to the pump. Did you unhook any of the wires anywhere (like to the power post) when replacing anything? things usually dont stop working unless something is unhooked or fuse is blown.

    I would start there if you have not already checked thoes items.. and check them again if you have

      check all fuses and other relays for it started priming and running when starting on and off but moved it from friends house to mine and now nothing. friends gunna give car to me if can get it runing but just trying to see if over looked something but no pump running and no injector pulse and no check engine light when cranking or when doing odb jumper so wondering if ecm went bad or what it is thanks

        If it doesn't run the pump with that prime jumper, it's not because of the ECM. That jumper bypasses the ECM. How did the pump sound before it did this? Beat on the bottom of the gas tank when someone turns the car on and see if the pump runs then. If it does change the pump, it's bad.

            and there is ared wire comes out bottom of relay block with conector onit what would that be for??? the injectors not pulsein is kinda worryin me tho dont wann a see it go to junk yard

              That red one is the prime jumper I was talking about. It's actually a test lead to test the pump. If you touch it to the positive terminal right there it should run the pump.

                o ok my buddy spent like 2 hours the other day tryin to figure out were it went. it runs it doing it that way but still no luck with injectors all 6 of them click when 12v put to them
