I'm trying to fix a timing issue with my 94 3.4L DOHC.
I pulled up a Youtube video where the guy said if you can hear noise in the tensioner pulley after you take it off and shake it, it needs replaced. After I took mine off the timing belt today I shook it and whalla I could hear a slight bearing noise inside it is best I can describe; it wasn't loud I could just hear a slight metal noise. Anyone know if this is acceptable or does it need replaced? I just don't need to throw any more unnecessary parts at this thing.
Also, anyone know what a bad tensioner actuator would look like?
Thanks!
