well i did it now...
our 91 3.4 cutlass developed a minor drip off the thermostat housing, the line next to the thermostat, which in turned dripped onto the exhaust instantly turning to stinky coolant fumes.
i thought maybe the lil ring seals inside had gone bad, so i pinch the 2 plastic peices together and pull, and the damn aluminum connector breaks in half, i didnt even grape ape it, just a gentle tug.. and of course the thread portion is in the thermostat housing!!!
here i am with my proverbial **** in my hand and the wife is making quite a sport of me..
so i go and get the super duper official GM coolant connector removal tool, tap it in and grab a socket to take out the thread portion thats stuck in there, and sure as **** it just turns it to powder with every turn.
so whats my options guys, the threads arent really damaged, just filled with whats left of the hose connector...
if the damn wife teases me once more its gonna get ugly i tell ya
thanks in advance
