filter: ACDelco PF52(not the e-core models, they are sneaking into the inventory now. you have to take a look inside them to tell if they are the good ones or not. if you see plastic, back the fuck away ASAP.).

oil: Pennzoil for me. have yet to use synthetic anything, but the next time a change comes up, synthetic blends may be on the table.

plastic in oil filters are a horrible idea. ask Crazy K on w-body for a better explanation. he is also the one that tipped me off to the newer, shittier E-core filters coming out. the easiest way to tell is to look through the center hole and look at the sides of the cylinder you see. if its obviously metal, its a good one. if there is any doubt, find another.

        whats with the flea market?

          Filter: Purolator or AC Delco

Oil: Mobil clean 5000 if not synthetic, Mobil 1 if synthetic, 5w30 in both flavors.

ahhh i buy dvds there, my friend who does decals for me (in the odd event that i need them and he is also the former head of the Alberta Chapter of the Ford Taurus SHO club -recently resigned) lol he does some pretty sweet custom decals. speaking of which are there 60*v6 ones or do i have to make my own?? lol i saw the WOT ones, but i cant sport the sticker without the parts. i still have two magnaflow performance muffler stickers here that were gonna go on like ricer part stickers. but i decided against that so far. but i still dont know what to do with them

Why 5w30? Isnt 10W30 recommended? Does that help at all with the annoying lifter tick at startup? I prefer castrol syntec over mobil 1 synthetic. Ive used both and the moble one made my top end really noisy. The castrol ran alot quieter.

Last I remember my cap said 5w30, and for my temp/climate, I believe that is what the correct weight would be. And mine really only had bad lifter tick when run hard, not so much on start up.

no, i dont mind the lack of lifter tick, with my 5w30 i put in, that was quaker state Q power... lol and a K&N oil filter. the car drives a bit better now too. and like i sez. no lifter tick when i start it after it sat for 3 hours in no garage, and its 11C outside right now, getting warmer as the night goes on. lol
