I pull the spark boots out completely and stuff the holes with shamwows as far as I can get them in. Felt rags would work well to just don't use cotton the water will run to the bottom to fast. When you pull them out they take all the water with them. As long as you don't blast them directly for to long. It will take you a few tries to get them in there just right; rolling them up works really good, make them just slightly smaller than the hole and then flare the end a bit . Make sure the rag you use is about 1" longer than the spark plug channel so they don't fall in if to loose.
Also gives you a chance to dielectric the silicone boot ends and inspect them for cracks. I used to have three rubber plugs that fit perfectly but they would fly off easily if hit at the right angle and then fill them channel with water, and that's a pain in the ass to get compressed air in there far enough.
