I also added an article on how to do it, but it might be a little different for me. I have the engine out of the car. Doing it in the car, I don't know about that yet.

I just saw your sig. Something happen to the good 1994? Keyed, and top slashed? If that is the case, I guess it is a good thing we didn't go ahead and swap the tops out. And the Silhouette got keyed as well?

Man, when it rains it pours.

The engine is ready to go back into the car. A fuck-buddy of mine came over and helped me out with it. We got the old twin cam pulled (it has a weird oil level sensor on the side of the oil pan that the 1994 does not have). I was going to swap out the pans, but the 1995 pan had a crack in it, so I decided against using it.

We got the new timing cover on, but when I was installing the tensioner, the tensioner bracket broke. Good thing I had a spare. Once the bracket broke, the tensioner decided to break as well. Good thing I had a spare.

Anyways, the engine is 100% assembled, and tomorrow I am going to try to drop it in. If not tomorrow, then by this weekend.

I don't have any pics. My scanner is over at my moms house, and I have to use it to get pics out of my camera.

I still need to get some parts, like spark plugs, and wires, and EGR gaskets, but other than that, I am going to try to have this car running by this weekend.

okay. Time for an update. The engine is back in the car and hopefully by this weekend, I will have it running again. I am going to pick up some parts tomorrow.

Here is the car with the engine out.

And here is the engine FINALLY re-assembled, and timed, and ready to go in.

And here is the car with the engine back in.

And here is a further away shot of the new wheels. I don't have them on the back yet, but the fronts are on. I will do the rears later.

I have ALMOST finished it. I had to stop for the night to take care of some family business, but I will find out probably tomorrow if it runs or not.

First of all, I had someone move into my car while I was not looking, so I need to wait for them to vacate before I can finish. I had taken the radiator out a couple of days ago, and I TOAD climbed into one of the radiator hoses, and I need to get him out before I can reconnect it.

I replace the spark plugs, and wires on this car. The plugs were OLD, and the wires were mismatched (old ones on back, and newer ones on front). I just put all new plugs and wires.

These are the REAR 3 spark plugs, but the fronts were just as bad.

And here you can see that I don't lack much to get it finished. If it was not for that family thing, and the toad, I would be done by now.

Plugs and wires are a given, at least you know for a fact the engine ran pretty well before it was pulled.

                      yeah.

First of all Ben, it would have to be a TURTLE to be a teenage mutant ninja turtle. This is a FROGGIE. It might be a preteen chemically mutated martial arts frog, or semething like that.

Jay, good to hear from you again. How did the surgery go? Did you live, or is this your re-animated corpse talking to us now?

Yeah, I am going on the fact that the engine ran pretty good, albeit a little RICH. I am thinking the old plugs, mismatched wires, and old O2 sensor had something to do with that.

So far, I have gotten a new O2 sensor, as well as plugs and wires, and some other things. There is one difference between the 1994 and 1995, and I will do a new post on it.

After some infection problems, I am okay now but it was pretty bad there for awhile...Had to go back twice via ambulance.

ouch. Infections are never good. I told you about that spider bite I had that was infected. Anyways, glad you are feeling better. Liz is up in Austin right now, but I stayed home. I need to get this car running again. I forgot to ask, but did you get your stuff from out of the number 1 building? If not, it is no big deal. Nonnie does not mind it being there, but if Liz asks me about it, then I can let her know I at least talked to you about it.

Next time put some hardened washers under the bolt heads on that puller.

why? It didn't take that much force to get the pulley out. It is held in with just enough force to make it so you can't pry it off. It is not held in near as tight as something like the harmonic balancer.

Besides, I don't think I will EVER do this again. Next time anything goes wrong with this engine, it is going in the trash, and I am swapping in a pushrod engine.
