  • timing sprocket removal??

    Can someone tell me how to remove the timing sprocket on the 3.4, the book i have doesnt say how to remove it and i dont want to break somthing. does it have anything to do with the cover plate on the other side of the motor or am i totally off? heres a pic just so theres no confusion on what im talking about. thanks

    There is a kit, but it's easier to just tap 3, of the 9 holes, and use a harmonic balancer puller. I think you can tap 7/16" easy enough.
    If you are driving a Chevy, everything else, is just a blur. 3.4 Carbon Footprint.

      so it is a press on correct? and when you go to put it back on, would you use a mallet to tap it back on? thnaks.

        there's a tool for re-install, also; but I've never had a problem with a hammer and a piece of 2x4
