  • 99 Monte Carlo 3400 top swap

Ok well I got a 99mc with a 3100 in it... Had a lower intake gasket leak n about a year ago I ordered 3400 heads up from milzy for a swap never got around to it so figured now would be the time.... Finally my mechanic got everything on also I put a egr delete on and a PCM from him ... But the new plugs are getting burnt up n the car is running real rough n backfiring when it's started just wondering if anyone has some ideas to throw out there he is lost on what it could be and why :-/

its running to rich, since you go all that extra air and fuel coming in, you need to upgrade your spark and your delivery, put a hotter plug in there like a iridium, and put sum 8mm wires on there, i recommend the msd wires. if you want to you can put the msd coil packs on there as well. Jegs has a set that is 5,000 volts less than the msd and it 100 bucks for all 3 of them. your going to need exhaust too, open up your exhaust by running 2.5 all the way back. if you have not done you custom air intake, your going to need to do that as well. then your going to need a tune as well
