Ok guys, its been FOREVER since we'd had any real t-shirts, so it's time for a new contest. Basically, I would like to get 2-3 different designs made that people could buy. There really only a couple stipulations I can think of, but I may append it as I think of more. So here we go...
I really think that's it. Once I have some designs that I feel meet the expectations, we'll have a site-wide vote on it. Winners will receive free t-shirts. Depending on the interest in them, they may end up being limited edition shirts, or we'll print them until we can't print anymore. Maybe 1 will be limited edition, and the rest will always be available. I dunno, we'll have to see.
As another note, make the designs unique. When Ben and I were talking about this last night, he mentioned ideas like a "green" shirt, for those with fuel savings in mind, then a metal design, like something you'd think of from a heavy metal band, and finally something with blood on it, symbolizing the blood lost from wrenching on these, as well as the fact that the desire to build these engines is in our blood. Just some things to think about.
Questions? Comments? Get to designing! I plan on closing design submission on Mar 31, so you have over a month to get something drawn up.
- Needs to have the block on it. Here is a link to a file you can use for the design: http://60degreev6.com/forum/attachme...7&d=1243446174 It obviously needs some tweaking to get it to work, but it's a start.
- Make it look professional! I really just want to be able to take a hi-res image to a design shop and tell them to print it, without having to clean it up myself, or pay someone else to clean it up.
- Don't go color wild. Make it just a few colors (3-4?), as the more colors, the more expensive it gets. Monochrome looks bland, so try to at least have a couple colors in there.
