Could we have Drivers Rides (Gallery!) ???

I was thinking it would be great if we could have a specific area of the site for pics (and info) of each member's ride.
If it were a link from the main page (not just a crappy link to members webpage) it could be quite appealing.
I understand this would probably use a lot of space and bandwidth, thus might not be possible.

I was thinking sorta like cardomain.com, where they got pics posted and info on the side. My car isn't on there, but I often get linked to that site.
It would add some excitement to this site and would be fun.

You can only imagine the amount of time that would take me to update for people. I don't have any software to put on the site so everyone can make a template looking car page.

Great idea but I dont know about the man power to get it going.

What do you mean? Too much work to add a new forum, or are we talking about adding a database-type-thingy like cardomain or n-body.net?

Forum is easy, I can add members rides if we need that kind of area back. The database setup however...I have no idea how to go about that right now.

I vote to have a members ride forum by itself and then if someone wishes to post there, then they can and you should make it where they have to post links to their pictures instead of directly linking the pictures to preserve bandwidth??? Anyways, that's the way I think it should be.

I killed the racing stories area and made it the member's rides area. Once we are on the new server I will worry about a gallery. We still have the member's area on the site to add back up. There, people can create their own site.

I dunno what will happen exactly but I also like the idea of 60V6 of the Month, to highlight different applications and modifications. Who knows if I will do this or not...cause honestly I won't be the only one working on the site.
