Internet Explorer isn't as web2.0 friendly as other browsers, and this latest version of vb is very web 2.0-ish. If you load it in FF (or others, I presume), it will look quite different. The entire style is basically all CSS whereas before it was comprised of images for certain things.

As far as the attachment system, I haven't messed with it yet. I know when we first started messing with the Betas, it basically just didn't work in IE. I figured most of that was fixed, as I haven't seen any complaints over on vb.com about it. I can always turn the Asset Manager off and see if that helps anything out.

I had to stop moving the mouse all together and just use the arrow keys to get where I wanted to edit. It was almost like the mouse movement was making the box scroll to the top. Very odd... May be an issue specific to me though, so unless someone else has the same experience then just ignore me... LOL

ive tried with both and you still get the same results. scroll down the bottom but when you go to click it jumps up. this only happens in IE8. opera and firefox are fine.

I only use IE8 and that never happens to me. It did on my old mouse but it was obviously a hardware issue.

I have changed the quick reply to require a click, meaning you hit the reply button at the bottom of a post to reply to that post. With the current view on the site, its all oldest to newest and won't matter, but in other views it would put each reply below the post it was in reply to. Kind of neat, probably useless, but it keeps the thread cleaner looking instead of the huge quick reply box I have with more options and BS than I care to deal with. Yes, I am having fun

I'm having the same issue here as well with the scrollbar. I'm on a wireless mouse, using Firefox 3.5.9, no cache issue, I only have the *lazy* movement when the forums webpage titlebar is visible. As soon as I scroll the titlebar out of view the scroll action returns to normal movement.

                    Hmm, that's a new one.

I was browsing vb.com last night looking for solutions to all of this, and one thing that came up was making sure you have the latest Java updates. Not sure if that will help anyone, but its worth a try. I will continue to investigate other issues as well.

Just wanted to thank everyone for dealing with the nuances of the new software. Hopefully bugs will get sorted out soon and we won't loose too many people from being too annoyed with the change.

NOTE TO ANYONE HAVING ISSUES WITH BEING ABLE TO POST: Reading around, it appears that some sites have people that are completely unable to post. If you are one of these, please send me a PM or email (bszopi at 60degreev6.com), and I will try to work with you on an individual basis to try to sort out any issues you are having.

Brad.......I found the cause of my problem.....at the bottom of the page there is a for lack of a better term ..an option bar...at the far left there are two tabs for choosing page style & language. Seems my choice of page setup was set to *blues fluid*..(I didn't personally choose this)..changed the setting to vb4 default and now everything is fine.

Crap... its not consistant with me...

I had it doing it before, and now its not repeating it.

well now it is... after I deleted my other message...

I've seen it happen on all themes I THINK... dont quote me on that, and it seems to only work if you start a message that fits the box and then type beyond and make it have to scroll down to see the rest, if you just copy/paste a block it does not do it.

I'm trying to figure out how to get it to be something you can test yourself... give me a little while to mess with it.

As far as the links go, for the articles... That is a bug. The periods that Robert is seeing is just a shortening of the length of the link. That is fine. The link Dave is talking about is the bug. There is a setting in the CMS which allows the CMS to be "placed" in a different location in the forum. In the setting, you need to insert where this location is. We have it set to the root of the site (www.60degreev6.com), and the forums are at /forum. In the setting, if I set it to "../" (which is one of the recommended settings), everything works fine, but the links to the articles gets screwed up. If I set it to the site URL, then I can't stay logged in to the main page for some odd reason. I go to log in, it says welcome, then loads the main page, and I'm logged out. I can goto the forums, and be logged in, but going back to the main page has me logged out. I plan on submitting it as a bug on vb.com.

i guees i shouldn't have said "bunch" of periods... i knew it was a shortening thing, i was refering to the .. in place of the first part of the URL.
