wow ben, if it were me having to take this on i would just set it up to my liking. especially since it isn't costing any of these opinion donators a single cent. but as for me i like the default setting just fine, and that the layout is like efi used to be. but anyway, i think you should charge 1 dollar per opinion or something. and the payment thing should be the next topic discussed.

I'm not sure I want to put up with the hassle of the ENGINEER area again... it started off as a joke was was only supposed to last a couple days, and next thing I knew, it was there permanently.

Banner adds, good, pop ups, bad... those silly ones that GMF used to have that floated out in the same window- even worse

At least most of the time the banner ads are somewhat related to the content of the site...

Well I wanted to be the 2nd member but ive been totally slammed at work.

First off id like to say Ben you have done a kickass job getting the forum back up and running in such a short amount of time. I will do my best to help out in any way I can, technically and financially.

I think the way the site is laid out right now and as people have suggested is good. Id prefer not to see a "racing" section, that stuff should be posted in General or Off Topic. Basically anything not in a Pushrod , DOHC , ECM area should go into Gen or OT, minus for sale / Ebay stuff. I never really went into the Trans area, how active was it?

The trans area wasn't dead, but of course it wasn't the engine areas either. I think now that we are missing any connection to a platform specific area, the trans area should really be here. There aren't any sites for trans specifics that I know of so we may as well cover what we use. Remember the LSD thread

How about more, kick ass, smilies? That was one of my favorite things about GMF over all the other boards I went to, the awesome, giant collection of smilies. That's probably a gay suggestion but hey man, smilies own. Good ones anyways. One of my personal favorites was the one who held up the BS flag.

I think you have done a great job with your board so far!
I was concerned when I saw the error message.. quite a kick in the head for anyone in your position, but you guys just got up fighting.

I like the selection of board styles you have available, and a FYI to those who do not like the default style; it is easy to specify a different one in your profile.

A google search found the new board pretty fast., but I will update your link on my site, and perhaps it will also help folks find you.

Hey Mick, are you interested in a banner ad for GMPCM? If so, I'm sure that Ben would be willing to work something out with you. Its site's like yours which I would rather see for banner ads and the like, mainly cause I wouldn't really consider them ads. We'll see what Ben has to say about it. The GMPCM software has focused primarily on the 60V6, so there is already a good degree of affiliation there.

This site looks pretty cool so far. I think you have it laid out just right. I hope you can get all of your data back, there were some great procedures and very helpful pictures in there.
