  • The 60V6 Garage is back!!

After over 2 years of being gone, I am happy to say that someone in the vBulletin world has finally stepped up and made a REAL garage module. And we are one of the first sites to have it installed!! So have at it. I'd love to see this take off with people being able to finally show off their ride and modifications directly on the site. Here is the link: http://60degreev6.com/forum/garage.php

Since we are one of the first sites to have it, there are still a few bugs that are being worked out. Myself and several other site admins from various car forums are working with the developer to make this as user freindly as possible. Right now, its not 100% there. But hopefully, some of the more annoying issues will get fixed quickly, and then we can concentrate on adding more features to the product.

With that said, I hope to see our garage start to fill up quickly. If you have any questions or comments on the garage, please post them in this thread and I will try to answer everything to the best of my ability. Enjoy!

    Are we still on Fquick?

Also, this is different than vB garage, I have Vb on other boards (and Fquick) is there an easy way to translate the pics/info?

Fquick? Umm, yeah, probably. I remember setting up the group, but I haven't really checked it since then. And no, this is in no way similar to vB Garage, as it totally sucks. This is a port of Fusion Scripts Garage module, which was originally written for Invision Power Boards, and have since been ported over to phpBB, SMForums, and now vBulletin. Back when the site was on phpBB, we had it installed, and I have been trying to get something like it since then.

As far as an easy way to translate the information, I dunno. I have though about recommending the developer try to write a script to import data from the vB hack "Timeslip Database", as that was a popular hack which is now flaky at best on vB, as it is no longer supported. But there are a TON of sites out there that are still using it to track timeslip info. This one does the same thing, but with so much more.

Hmm, how do you change the main picture? Delete all and then re-add?

Would be nice if you could add modifications easier, looks like it would take forever to put them all in.

1/4mile would be nice if it had a date or comment field so you could describe what was done on the car at the time of the run.

The modifications entry page is being fixed and should be changed within the next week. I'll make a mention of the comments for the timeslips, as that is a good idea. I'll also ask about highlighting a specific picture for the main picture.

                cool thanks forthe updates.

i only did a few mods now cause it was taking forever with having to manually add each specific mod and who makes it and whatnot.

Its because the file you are trying to upload is too big. I've tried setting the limit slightly higher, but large files end up breaking the system. This has been brought up to the developer, and I think he is investigating a possible fix. But for right now, try uploading a resized image (probably less than 2MB).

Well, a new version is new up and running (well, will be by the time most people actually read this). Not all issues have been fixed, but several have. Unfortunately, the one I was really waiting for hasn't been fixed yet, and that is the issue with adding new manufacturers and such and having to start all over on the editing. The developer just couldn't figure out a way to do it to suit everyone's needs, so we are going to brainstorm some more on it and hopefully come up with a solution soon.

I tried to add Suspension Techniques under Suspension (whoda thunk it) and TSW to Tires and Rims, but neither came up to use, even after refreshing the page. Other things I added (like Lumina Z34) were there though.
