Just bringing this up incase it hasn't been mentioned. But the 3500 default values do not work and you cannot input negative values for the piston deck clearance.

The 3500 defaults aren't the only ones missing. And I'll have to look into the negative values one, as this is the first time that I remember hearing about it. Thanks for the feedback though!-Brad-

I can enter negative values just fine for piston deck clearance. In fact, the 3100 has a stock negative value.
As far as the 3500 values, I have them entered from the best info I can find in the forums. The only issue is, the calc comes up with a final CR of 9.58:1 instead of the stock 9.8:1. Anyone care to tell me which values are incorrect? I'm guessing its either the head chamber volume or the piston dish volume.-Brad-

didn't Ben CC a 3500 piston recently?
all the values look right except for the head gasket bore, i'll see if i can find my old set but they were closer to 3.75" iirc
if you fudge the dish volume down to 24cc it gets alot closer... maybe i'll finally CC one of the spares i have around here.

For some reason I still can't get the CR calc to work with FireFox. Even IE exploder is picky. When I look in the error console I have the following message:

The application itself hasn't ever changedm as I coded the entire thing. Therefore, and forum or CMS software changes shouldn't affect it at all. In fact, if you click on your own link above, the app runs in its own window, independent of any other software. Therefore, if it used to work for you, and it doesn't now, then it has to be on your end somehow.
I'm not sure if anyone actually ever uses the Notes area anyway, so there is a chance I could take that section out. Or maybe, if I get a chance, I can create a new file with the notes area taken out and give you the link to try out. Ok, here... try this one: http://60degreev6.com/apps/crcalc_FF.html It works for me in FF.
EDIT: I take that back about it not changing any. After looking at the code to make the above file, I remembered that I did change the file to include AJAX. The source of the error is in the javascript part of the AJAX call, so it appears FF has an issue with that. Yeah, you can still enter notes into the block, but it doesn't pass them through the code. It appears its an AJAX/JavaScript issue in FireFox that I need to do more digging on. I basically just editted code that I got from somewhere else that is SUPPOSED to be FF compatible, but it appears its not working that way.
As far as your question Andy, I have found mixed results on the forum. I ended up using the value that made the stock CR come out close to specs. But that could be wrong. I really need to put a disclaimer on there that the listed stock values are for reference only, and exact values must be used to determine the true CR of the engine. This isn't directed at you Andy, but sometimes I think some people take stuff like that as final answers, when there can be alot of differences between what is listed an what the person actually has (for head CC volume for example).-Brad-

Brad, I wasn't talking about the accuracy, just the fact that with the custom value entries, it wouldn't do anything at all, but just sit there. I do know there are variances between untouched combustion chambers etc. Ya, the only way to know for sure it to measure YOUR parts. Thanks for looking into this prob further.Andy

I wasn't trying to imply that to you either, sorry... I know you know better as well, as do alot of the people on here. But there are many that don't. But anyway....
Maybe I'll dig around and see if I have the non-AJAX version still on my HD somewhere, and I'll make that the FF version instead. I've dug around some for the FF AJAX issue, but it seems that my code is fine, so I have no idea why its not working.-Brad-
