3100 swapped for a 3400??

i have a 1999 olds cutless with a 3100 and the motor is bad, and i have a 3400 motor out of a 1996 monte carlo 3.4 dohc and was woundering if i can just swap them out??!?! and if so what changes i would hacve to do and would i have to swap trannys to or not?

it will bolt up to the transmission no problem at all. some sensors and maybe fuel injectors may need to be changed. on the front of the motor theres one bolt hole thats different. the computers will work with both aswell.
