Yarr. I had seen that a while back, but it's been a while since it would have been on my bookmarks.

A few tidbits...I wonder if any sites exist about inter-changing various 2.8 motors?

I was in Chevy dealership today, and there seems to have been about 6 different 2.8L versions.

Needless to say, one would have to look at mounting aspects in terms of bolt holes/etc...but I wonder if the heads are all good...for the 2.8 block.

Anyone know if the Block itself (FWD) changed in regards to swaping heads around?

        I came across GM's Chevy 60-Degree V6, which notes:

Chevrolet's 60-degree V6 has been produced in two distinct versions. First generation V6/60-degrees have cast iron cylinder heads with inline valves; second generation engines have aluminum cylinder heads with splayed valves. First generation engines V6/60-degrees are produced for front-wheel-drive and rear-wheel-drive vehicles exclusively. Parts are interchangeable between the two versions except as noted in the part descriptions below.
        ...
        ...
But, do note the site listed in post one indicated that small differences exist between FWD and RWD...and there were differences in pistons used also...and heads too.
