  • Length and width specifications

Hey, I think it would be very helpful if anyone has the length, width and height specs for an of the V6's it would be a great added piece of info. I am looking to biuld a Kit Car and I am considering between this and another engine as the powerplant and the Specs would really help guys like me.

    Thanks, Tony

When I get this 3400/3500 hybrid together, I will try to remember to measure it. Any motor in particular that you are looking at?

I'd like to find out the dimensions as well, I'm looking at using a 3.4 from a mid 90's camaro as the engine in a trike I'm working on. I'll be just fine on the width, but I need to know how tall the engine is to the top of the valve covers.

          observations

I've got a '00 3100, a '83 2.8, and a 88 hybrid block that was used for both FWD and RWD. I'm looking to put the '00 3100 (including SFI) in a locost hot rod. The other engines were given to me by family and friends.

From what I've seen (by no means measured exactly), the differences in the block itself are in the starter mounting hole locations, etc. The size of the blocks, as well as the motor mount points and the tranny mounts, appear to be the same.

The differences that relate to size appear to be in the top end configuration, the accessory drives and the exhaust manifold configurations.

Sadly, the drawing doesn't have enough info for a guy designing a frame, but it does give me enough clues to make some educated guesses.
