3500 Map sensor

This question is for those of you who have swapped to the 3500 engine or atleast the 3500 top end.

What did you do about the map sensor? Did you use the 3500 map sensor? I swear Ive searched all over but cant find any info about it. I think I remember reading that newer cavaliers had the new style sensor and wiring, so I hit the JY today and grabbed a pigtail from the newer sensor in a cavalier.

But I want to say I remember reading that theres actually a conversion harness in some years that converts from the old to the new style. Am I right? Or am I crazy? If so, anyone have the part number?

Id rather not cut my factory harness if I can avoid it. If I can get a conversion harness that will convert the old style map sensor plug to the new style that'd be perfect. Right now I have it rigged up with the old sensor for now. It works (and well) but I want the look of the new small sensor.

Sorry if this has been covered recently and I just didnt find it. I swear I searched like a mofo.

Im not aware of a conversion harness though you could probably make one if you go back to the junk yard and grab a sensor as well and tear it apart for the male end. Personally, id solder some wires.

Yeah, it's only 3 wires Cut, solder, heat shrink, done.

yeah, I did the same thing, grabbed it from a late 90s J-body, soldered and heat shrunk the 3 wires. The colors should match too.
