yes im a noob I have a question about the 2000 LA1 bottom end. Are the any companies that make pistons, rods, ect. Or r there any other gm motors that have bottom end components that will swap? Thankx

have you searched this site yet? lots of good info out there, only a click or two away. there are no "off the shelf" products for that motor, everything has to be custom. im going thru all of this right now with my rebuild. the pistons from the older model 3.4 should work, i'll know more once im done...

Cant prove it, but its true.
Personally ported the stock TB, upper and lower intakes, no cat, no resonator, flowmaster camaro muffler, yokohama's, cone filter.

You can get hypereutectic pistons for any 3.4. You can modify some pink rods (old V8 rods) to work but most likely you don't need that. Crower makes some custom rods as well but again, unless you are going to be doing some serious racing its not required.

Does Pauter have a part number for these rods now, or would it still be a completely custom order? I have Pauters on my S2000 and really like them. I'd love to throw some of those on a DOHC...
