well i think i will, i was lookin at them for a while, and i guess ill pony up the cash for them. but if im lookin at a possible 3500 swap idk, ill just see how that looks before i bite off too much. and also i heard they need to be welded like when you get them from TOG, so ill need to find a good muffler shop also

I can do a basic 3500 swap for under 1500 bucks. I may start selling 3500 engines ready to drop in older applications if there is a demand (there really should be demand but its a matter of everyone knowing the benefits).
The stock 3500 manifolds are actually pretty good for stock manifolds. A nice set of headers would rock but for stock, the 3500 is nicer than the 3400 manifolds.Ben

TOG's just need the flexpipe welded to the stock cat or preferably to a high flow cat. Easy and cheap to do. S&S has an option to get them with a cat already so they just bolt up I believe. One other thing to consider is if you are going to go ahead and get 3500 heads, either header will bolt up to them, but the 3500 ports are larger than 3400 ports. TOG's have larger primaries than S&S so they would match up to the ports better, and they have a better o2 sensor location IMO, but TOG is out of business so the only way you can get some is used. You might be better with ported 3400 heads and S&S headers, or if you wanna go the extra mile 3500 heads with custom headers. You can get header flanges for custom headers on here from betterthanyou. All depends on how much flow you need and what you want to spend on them.'97 Grand Prix GT 3800 (sold)

well i guess if i am lookin at doin the 3500 swap idk. I guess i have some planning to do, then ill have a good answer. and about the headers and such, i guess i might look at s&s to see what they got. so u are sayin i could get the entire 3500 engine for about 1500? would that be with some ported heads and a few perf options or would that just be stock. also does ss make headers for the 3500 yet.

so its question time, umm will the ss headers fit the 3500 heads? also would anyone on here recommend the coating on the headers as opposed to no coating? and does anyone also know if the ss headers will fit like the stock exhaust does, cuz i already have borla cat back, i am just looking at the headers and high flow cat combo, that way i can have all stainless exhaust.

IMO, I'd go with the coated - not only do they look better but they don't get as hot as non-coated will, which will lead to lower underhood temps as compared to non-coated. Coated also tends to be more resilient to rust, oxidization, corrosion, and chemicals (oil, coolant, etc.).
Personally, I'd also recommend S&S simply for the fact that they offer a high-flow cat with their headers (and therefore should be properly matched up to their design for best flow and functionality), bolt-on installation, and coating, for the about the same price I've seen from other companies that only offer the weld together headers.N-body enthusiast:
