  • Fuel Pump Upgrade?

I want to add a fuel pump upgrade to V6/60 while I am going boosted and N20.

What are your opinions on this pump from MSD?

I am looking at the numbers and I dont think it will be good enough. Or maybe I am just trying for overkill.

Tell me what you think. Even give me a few suggestions.

I dont know what this means but "ASS HATS" is funny

Maybe if you are going with a fuel cell. Otherwise, you have an in-tank pump, correct?

      I bet ya do

As far as in-tank pumps go, this is your best bet:
      in-tank pump

she requires a little bit of wire swapping and splicing, but works great. Installation in the OBDII pump assembly vehicles is a bit tricky, but it can be done with some careful work. Price ain't all that bad compared to other internal / external pumps on the market, either.

pump flow is rated 67gph with max psi rating of 90.

this pump is a direct replacement for anyone with a late 80's early 90's F-body, too - harness and all

Depending on the vehicle you have, it may have a line coming off the pump to a venturi pump in the bottom of the fuel assembly. If you don't supply that line with pressure, you will have issues. I think I remember you had a 3100, but I can't for the life of me remember what vehicle you have...

The walbro intake pump is also a good choice. Flows 255lph (or 67gph so about the same).

That's cool, but not why I asked... lol I want to know what exact body style and year of the car for more info on the gas tank and fuel pump assembly

Because.... If the pump assembly has a venturi, then you should get the 3800 specific walbro kit from ZZP, otherwise, any other in-tank pump with 12ga line will work

D'oh! Too old for my service manual. Have you pulled the fuel addambly outta them yet? If so, is there a plastic line going from the pump to the bottom of the assembly?

Feul pump upgrade, no stock unit, fuel cell usage

I'm looking for suggestions for my 3.5l that will be SC in the next year or two. My car will have a fuel cell so we are talking an external fuel pump. Will the one listed earlier in the thread be a good one to begin looking at?

                      Any other suggestions?
