  • Injector Upgrade ?

Will the L67 36# injectors work with the 3500 UIM and do I need to change the connectors if they do?

    Thanks in advance

    Chris -
Check into the 4.2L Trail Blazer injectors, I am pretty sure that they are a direct replacement.

The TB injectors are 28 lb while the L67 injectors are really 33 lb. They just flow 36 lbs at 55 PSI. You will need the connectors for the L67 injectors.

Looks like Spruce beat me to it.

Are you still planning on running the RSM supercharger? I now have in my possession a RSM charger as well, but I am not sure of the future of my car since I just got a decent job offer.

Yes I am putting back in once I get a supplier for the pulley bearring...also I have a few people working on a better shaft design.....like the one the Stattama Kit used for the 3.8 ..........also another guy is lloking into a braket design to put the charger on the pulley side using a pulley driven from the backside of the belt due to the fact that my charger is a clockwise rotator. Thanks for the info on the injectors....I think Im going with the L67's for more flow. Are you guys sure the L67s will fit considering the 3400 UIM covers the rail...I just want to be sure before I purchase them...I know that I have to change the connector for the L67s

            Thanks again

They'll fit. I plan on using them myself in my car when my cam is ready.

Off the top of my head, no, but:

Pretty good source for injectors ( since Ben doesn't sell them yet )

The 42.5# and 65# also work.

[Got your e-mail, just been a bit busy. Sold the 42.5# injectors a while back]

While you are at it, put that MAF back in!

Well, it was running, and I went to Pontiac Nationals and spun a bearing:

The L67 injectors will definitely fit. They are actually a little shorter than your stock injectors so you won't have any clearance problems. I'm not sure about the difference in length between the L67's and the lucas 42lb injectors, but a lot of L67 guys use the 42's as an upgrade, and I'm using them too and they fit perfectly on my 3400.

I took a picture of the 4.2 trailblazer injector and a 3100/3400 multec 2 injector.

Are they rated for 28# at 43 psi or 55 psi?
