  • Quick intake question

I've been debating intakes and such for a long time, was going with a straight ram air where it intakes from a molded piece of plastic in the air dam. Decided it's too much of a risk for water to run that straight into the engine... so I decided I woulden't have to move my battery or anything if I just took the stock airbox, put in a K&N dropin, cut a hole in the side/bottom of the box and ran my tube from the "ram air" intake into the box so it's always supplied with sorta hard flowing cool air. Then tape up the stock air boxes nosle so the air just doens't go out of it, and put a bypass valve on the line so I don't risk going into some major water and sucking it all up.

What I want to know is, will I still get the same "cool" exhaust sound as everyone gets when they just stick on a cone filter? I know I probally won't get the whistle, but I mainly want the exhaust sound.

    Thanks.

Intakes don't change your exhaust sound

all youre hearing is the intake, CAI's are deeper than WAI's because of the longer tubing, any aftermarket intake will be louder than stock.
