  • Part number for LSx spring seats

I know this has been beat to death, but I can't find any part numbers for the spring seats. These are going on gen 2 heads. I'm planning on ordering the LS6 springs from Lingenfelter, the Comp valve locks and retainers from the store, and if I can find a part number, the seats from GMPD. If not, looks like I'll be hitting up the F-body/GTO boards.

This should be all I need, correct? I've read about shims but everyone here has gen 3 heads so it's hard to find specific info relavent to me.

Another quick question, while I'm here. Crane H260 is my cam, 3100 stamped 1.6 rockers. With these springs, should I worry about excessive lobe wear with gen 2's wonderful oiling system? That was the reason I had to start rebuilding this motor in the first place.. lobe 10 on the stock cam bit the bullet. I plan on adding an aux oiler setup for some problem lobes on the cam to help out, but if necessary I'll make sure it's hitting all of the lobes.

p/n for the LS1/2 seats: 12565118 - sold in packs of 5 through GM
I think it's the same seat/shim number for the LS6's, also. Might be wrong bout that. GM should be able to tell you if that part number fits the LS6 applications.

already ordered them from GMPD. but thanks!

Also picking up a pair of 16k mile LS2 springs/retainers/locks for 50 bucks off ls1tech. I was gonna go with the Comp stuff but I was having trouble justifying the extra money for the springs in my head rebuild as it was.
