  • LQ1 Throttle body on a 2.8 fiero, hesitation issues...

I've got my LQ1 TB installed on the fiero with a custom manifold, now I'm having some issues.

Whenever I give it gas, unless I get on the gas extremely slowly, the motor hesatates really bad for a second and then revs up.

I suspect it's the TPS or it's wiring, but not sure.

I was told by the guy I bought it from to just match the wires from the new TPS to those on the factory harness using the letters on the TPS connector. So, I connected A to A, B to B, and C to C...

Can someone give me the actual wire colors of the LQ1 TPS connector and the wire color of the 2.8 fiero harness that it should be matched up to?

    Thanks.

i had an issue when i put the fiero intake on my cavalier, i beleive the ground wire and refferance voltage are reversed on the fiero compared to my cavalier wiring (i think it was A and C). i figured this out when i checked the tps voltage and it started at 4.5v at closed throttle and went to .45 at WOT. check it out and see if you have the same thing going on.

Any idea on wire colors for the fiero harness and the LQ1 connector? Like which should be my ground, which should be the referance ect?

The TPS is just a variable resistor right. It is very possible that I've got the variable resistance wire mixed up with the constant resistance wire on it.. That way the ECM would be seeing a constant throttle position.... I'll check that tonight!

        GREY
        BLACK
        BLUE
