it does suck, but i want to keep this block because of all the work put into it. i want to use roller lifters and cam with it even though it has flat tappet lifters. i think curtis did it with his motor. i guess i'll have to find out how he did it. while its out, it'll be easier to do the topend swap and to check everything else out. it'll just be a few months before i can start it, after i move in to my new home.

the instructions that came with my gold race rockers (1.6) said half to a full turn.
damm i have been wondering why i have vibration from 2000-3000 rpms...

thats exactly what the instructions said when i first built it 2 years ago, with new lifters i tightened them 3/4 turn and it worked up till now. 3/4 turn now was way too much but it will be different for other people. having them too tight i dont think would cause a vibration, it will keep the valves open and lose vacuum which in turns idles bad and will run bad no matter how much gas you give it.
