  • computer changes with boost?

I read through most of the threads on here about how Shitty the RSM setup is, and removing the mass air flow sensor and going to an older setup really seems stupid to me. My question is what would have to be done to the factory computer to get it to except/see the boost form a supercharger / turbo?

Ps. I live in California so the RSM setup just won’t work.

They don't remove it and go to an older system (speed density) they just remove it, and tell the computer to not put on a check engine light. Like taking out the check engine light bulb, only doing it in the computer.

To answer your question, a DHP powertuner would let you edit in the MAF tables and MAP tables (along with a 2bar MAP) to up fueling when air flow exceeds X (MAF) or it sees pressure (MAP). Also you could put in larger injectors, edit the fuel tables so it wouldn't flood at idle, and yet be large enough to open up under boost and not go lean.

I don't know the details but that's basically what you could do.
