  • Throttleplate orientation

I had gotten a used FDP billet 62mm TB some time ago and was looking it over while going through Ben's DIY write-up for his own TB's and realized the throttleplate it came with has no markings on how it should be oriented on the shaft. Are there any sort of clues to look for? I do see that the screw holes are off-set slightly either upwards or downwards depending on how you look at it.

    Thanks for any help.

It should bind up if installed incorrectly. Test fit it without the spring and if it binds, then flip it around. That's what I'd do.

The TCE throttlebodies are angle cut on the plate to give it a better seal.

Ok that explains why those instructions were specific on the matter. I'll just fiddle with it when it comes time to install and see what works best. There's only 2 possible ways for it to go really. :P

        Thanks guys!
