Both S&S and TOG, who made headers for the 3400 GA, had the fronts going over the tranny.

Pretty sure rebelgt made his own collectors...

Jegs and Summit have many sizes in mild and stainless, JC Whitney also. Hedmen makes the collectors.

Exhaust Components Headers, Tailpipes, u-bends, tips, TTI systems for Mopar, Dodge, Plymouth, Hemi, Big and Small block by Magnum Force

The cheapest place I've found yet. Pretty good quality and moderately fast shipping.

$7.99 for 1.5in pipe with 2.5 or 3" radius. Thats like $63.92 for 8 U-bends. They also sell straight lengths of pipe.

          -Joseph

btw, If you do go with 1 5/8, I may be interested in those collectors you have already.

Sounds good Dave. 1 1/2" should be plenty for a mildly modified 3400. Are you going with long tubes or shorties this time?

Btw, make sure to post lots of pics. I have to redo my front header and I'm thinking of going over the trans.

I went under the pan and they were tucked very well. They still het the ground. I've learned my leason. I will either go over the trans or use a flat pipe to go under the pan and connect with the header.

Yeah, but that is going a little overboard. You may open up a can of worms with oil pickup issues.

If you're swapping a 3500 then the oilpan is notched already for you.

It would be nice if that pan was a bolt-on swap.. lol

True, but soon we'll be able to swap in 3500's with the CPS adapter or new crank tone ring. Probably be a while before the swaps become common. Gotta wait till more 3500's go to junkyards and prices come down..
