Okay well I'll take a look when I get further down, I'll just make sure incase I need the injectors to be able to get them. Never done much with swapping fuel injection systems off vehicles....

I'm guessing the older M2s are what is on my motor now, and the newer ones are what comes stock on the new 3.4.

which also look just like your stock Multec 1 injectors...

with your stock injectors and the pre'99 FPR your fueling will be right around stock and your ECM will actually know what's going on and be able to controll your BLM's better. It should be able to get your A/F close to normal and you'll feel alot more power coming from the engine. Without real datalogs you'll never be able to figure out what's going on in there.
So I ran my auto x-ray on the way home, and captured an error code or two while i was at it.

        Auto X-Ray Reading:

Engine Run Time: 354 Seconds (5.9 minutes)
        Coolant Temp: 189.5* F
        Battery Voltage: 13.4 V
        Manifold Air Temp:71.5* F
        MAP Sensor: 1.56 V
        Barometric Pressure: 4.60 V
        Throttle Sensor: 0.60 V
Throttle Angle: 0% (i was sitting at a light)
        Vehicle Speed: 0 mph
        Desired Idle: 762 RPM
        Engine RPM: 824 RPM
        Knock Sensor: 1
        Knock Retard: 0*
        BLK LRN Cell: 16 (idle)
        A/F Mix: 14.4
Injector Pulse: 3.5 mS (it hovers between 3.5 - 5.6)
        Right Block LRN: 156
        Right Integrator: 128
        Right Oxy Sensor: 189 mV
        Idle Air Meter: 38 steps
        Learned Idle Position: 38 steps
        Fuel Pump Sense: 13.3 V
        Spark Advance: 17.8* (idle)
CCP Duty Cycle: 0.0% (never figured out what the heck this is)
        Left Block Learn: 107
        Left Integrator: 128
        Left Oxy Sense: 756 mV
        Block Learn: Disabled
        Oxygen Sensor: Ready (left side)
R Rear Oxy Sense: Ready (right side)
        Closed Loop A/F: Disabled
        Cam Pulse: Detected
        Injector QDM: Low

Thats about it - I left out some stuff bout the A/C, but figured all that would help somewhat. Can anyone give any info based on that reading? I had a SES light going while I was running the scan so it also logged a trouble code:

        64 Right Oxygen Sensor Lean

        Thanks.

the multec 1 (?) injectors dont have the band around the nozzle. i'm not sure if they would fit in your 3x00 setup, but they might work better with your 94 ecm.

this is cool project you have. i never understood why they didn't put aluminum heads on the rwd 660's.

Ya I know but the biggest mistake to the RWD 3.4 is the intake on the camaro! It's the worst designed thing I have ever seen in my LIFE! It literally chokes itself at high rpm, and the old style heads are just as bad, small little valves! YUK! I just kinda got the idea of putting the entire motor from the grand am into my camaro, but then got told I want my cast iron block, and rods, it holds up under boost better.

the 3400 is a cast iron block and has the same rods as the 3.4 RWD. the differences are in the aluminum heads, and improved oiling system. the 3400 is actually a better block as well as intake/heads system, but it lacks one of the mounting places for a RWD motor mount. you would have to fabricate something to make it work.

Good to know. I was under the impression there was more difference, but that makes enough sense there. Either way more than enough reason to switch the top end. I really can't wait to get this next step done and get it running right..

What ECM does the Camaro use? Is it flash or EPROM?
