  • alternator pulley

I bought a mini alternator off e-bay for the beast. It had a v-belt pulley, but I ASSumed that I could easily find a serpentine pulley to throw on it.... Wrong! The unit's made by Nippondenso and has a rare 15 mm shaft. Can anyone point me to where I might fins an appropriate pulley?

go to napa and they should have a book of universal alternator pulleys and find one that would work for your application. i got one for one of my old cars for like $10. i think they may list them on there website also, but i'm not sure. also they might be special order, so you might have to wait. or you could try a junkyard.

Just to follow up, I went to NAPA and they couldn't help me, but referred me to a local alternator rebuilder who set me up for ten bones. Now I've got the Nipondenso alternator with internal fan working. I've been told that it's barely adequate for street use, but it's not like I've got any accesories, and the thing weighs half what the GM alternator did.

      Thanks guys!
