Manual Transmission in a W Body?

Is there a way to do a manual transmission in a 2002 3400 Monte?

Just waying out my options

Im sure there is but its probably not easy. The last 5 speed W body was 93 and the last easy to rebuild manual 2 body was 1990 with the 282. You would need the complete outfit from one and then possibly different axles depending on the lengths needed. Custom tuning would be a must, as well as pulling your dash, modifying the firewall, and cutting holes for the cables. Im not sure if your subframe has a place for the manual mounts or not though it did use the same location as the autos in the early 90s manuals.

You would probably be better off spending the money on making your auto stronger, change the FDR, and add a higher stall.
