  • 60degree V6 store Valve Spring Question

Are the comp cam 26986 valve springs a direct replacement to your stock springs. These are the springs sold at 60 degree store.
I know the LS6 and LS1 springs arent.
I really dont want to do any modifications to make new springss fit. Thats why Im asking.

They drop right in with no modifications. I would use the comp retainers and keepers as well for the best possible fit but stock retainers and keepers will work as well.

And also are these valve springs stronger than the stock ones
        Will they reduced valve float?
How do they compare to the LS1 & LS6 springs.

I had them tested at 115# @ 1.7 and 186# @1.3. That puts them between the LS1 and LS6 spring that were tested. They are a better design than stock as well, although still beehive shape, the oval wire helps even more with harmonics.
