Guess I should get a price on those as well and add them to the store.

Do you happen to have a part number? The closest thing I have found is the Magnum rollers for a 173. Will they fit? Are there clearance issues?

That would be it. I dont recall the numbers and we used to have them on this site back before we lost everything, then changed everything, then changed it all again. It will be listed for the 2.8 (173 cu inch). No clearance issues at all. Well, baffle in the front valve cover was getting hit but I had a lunati cam too so that is why it hit. Stock cam wont have any issues.

You WILL need the older stock GM Adjustable rocker arm stud to run these rocker arms however. The part number is 476530 buy 12 of them. Or find an older gen1 2.8L in the wreckers and take the studs out of that.
                        Comp cam part numbers:
                        1413-12 for the 1.52:1 ratio
                        1414-12 for the 1.6:1 ratio

Summit racing sells them for cheaper. CCA-(comp part number)

You WILL have to clearance the pushrod guide plates for the 1.6's and need some valve springs to go with them too, stock will not handle the lift of the 1.6:1's.

You can proabably get away with stock studs on a net lash system. Since the ball studs and rocker design are of the same style.

I never had to clearance my guides or the guides on a gen II or III for 1.6 rockers.

What year was yours then? because in late 89 and 90 GM changed to the M8 top nut NON adjustable rocker arm stud. You put these rockers on with the non adjustable rocker stud and you cannot tighten the rocker up at all. It just sits there loose. I know guys who have shimmed the nut with a washer between the nut and pivot ball but thats not the proper way to do it.

I don't see how you didn't have to clearance the pushrod guide plates Geoff? I've done 3 setups with 1.6's and all of them needed the "U" channel of the groove deepened due to the 1.6's putting the pushrod closer in towards the head. If you don't check for clearance and it needs it then you'll eventually break a guide plate and be wearing it and the pushrod.
