Quick Shim question

I did search and found lots of good information however no deffenete answers..

I need to shim my LS1 springs on the 2002 3400 heads, Does anyone have a part number or good place to pick up a set that will fit?

Milzy said to use .015" thick ones.. I just wanna make sure the springs don't chew through the heads :P

Well, here are the shims i bought today... they are Comp cams p/n 4754.

they're a little loose but not as bad as the ones Milzy sells (i'll have to find pics to confirm that).. look ok?

Those will protect the head fine but they aren't going to help your springs stay centered at all. I would have just got the stock LS1 shims and drilled out the centers slightly so they fit over the valve guides.

I'm using the stock cam for now, In the fuiture i might step up to a custom ground cam but for now i'd just like to get the engine installed and running reliably.

the springs can't move that much anyways.. if it does become a problem i'll just pressureize the engine 1 cyl at a time and swap over the LS1 shims. Moon's LS6's are the same way and even his machine shop didn't say anything about it.
