LS1 spring specs on LS1 engine.

Valve lift .472" intake .479" exhaust
Valve spring free length 2.08", installed height 1.8"
    Valve spring pressure 76lb @ 1.8" (valve closed) 220lb @ 1.32" (valve open)

LA1 springs specs on LA1 engine

Valve lift .436" intake and exhaust
Valve spring free length 1.89", installed height 1.701"
    Valve spring pressure 75lb @ 1.701" (valve closed) 230lb @ 1.26" (valve open)

If you take the LA1 spring compression and add .1" for the lower installed height you get 1.36" which is close to the same compression as the LS1. As for how much max lift you can run with the LS1 spring on a LA1, I don't think anyone has checked, seeing as how if you're running more lift than that you should be using a stiffer spring anyway.

    Gotta love boost!
